if your web history is being monitored, it may be a safer idea to launch the app on your iPhone via the QR code to your right rather than going to the app marketplace.
Instructions for downloading the app:
To download the free app for your iPhone, use a QR Code reader (you can download apps to do this for free on the App Store) to scan in the code to your left. You can do this by opening the QR Code reader app and then pointing your camera at your computer screen so that the QR Code is within clear view. After waiting for a moment, your phone should bring up the app or a link at which you can view and download the app. If your phone opens an app online, follow the instructions to install the app on your phone so that you can access it whenever you need.
To the immediate left is a preview of the app. Here are some things to keep in mind:
This preview is not the fully functioning app, given its formatting differences from this website; however, you can click on the pages and see the content by clicking on the white background of the app and using your computer's mouse or up/down arrow keys to scroll (the app will be complete when you download it on your device).
The app's individual pages are titled with the U.S. state that they contain domestic violence resources + phone numbers for.
Each app page has a large header which appears to be a recipe; if you are in an emergency situation or otherwise don't want someone near you to know that you are looking at these domestic violence resources, just scroll up to the top of the page so that it looks like you're looking at a recipe.
The app's table of contents can be viewed by clicking the yellow box with three blue lines at the upper left-hand corner of the app, beside the title "Dollar Dinners."
The app does work best with smartphones, since the recipe header conceals the entire screen on a smartphone -- but, it is also operational on the iPad.
